RECIPE: CHORIZO QUESO SOUP

Chorizo Queso Soup 

2 lbs ground chorizo 

3 cups heavy cream

32 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese 

2 cups Pico de Gallo 

2 tbsp taco seasoning (Flavor God) 

  1. Heat fresh grated cheese and heavy cream in large pot, whisking together to melt cheese on medium high heat

  2. Cook chorizo in a separate skillet

  3. Once cheese is melted add fresh salsa and reduce heat

  4. Add cooked chorizo directly to soup, do not drain.

  5. Stir together and let simmer.

You can substitute the chorizo for ground beef or sausage and use regular jar salsa instead. We use all Flavor God seasonings, any taco seasoning will do. Just make sure it doesn’t have any added sugar. 

Feel free to top this with a spoonful of sour cream and some avocado.
